 If you have a history of cold sores, you must take Valtrex 2 days prior to the procedure and for one week after in order to avoid an outbreak. You can wash your lips with dial antibacterial soap 12 hours after the procedure 3 times per day. Kelly suggests avoiding salty foods and also using a straw during the healing process to avoid irritation.  

Kelly recommends that her clients return for a Maintenace session every 1 -3 years in order to freshen up the color. The frequency of the return is based upon each client's unique skin type along with how they maintain and protect the pigmented area.
